TeamSportsInfo.com Privacy Policy

Updated: December 31, 2023

TeamSportsInfo.com (“TSIC”) operates the TeamSportsInfo.com website (“Service”), and is committed to providing a superior Internet resource for team sports administrators, coaches, participants and their families. In using our Service, you may be asked to provide personal and credit card information when you register on the site. In general, TSIC will not share any personal information with anyone other than the members of the sports organization to which you belong.

Your privacy is very important to us, and this page explains our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information.

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information We Collect

Registration Information

All Users of TSIC are adults over the age of 18, who are either completing a registration to participate themselves or are completing registration(s) for their minor children. Therefore, any references to a “Registrant” in this Privacy Policy could refer to a minor child or to an adult, with the assumption that all data for any minor child is entered by the adult parent/guardian of that child. Please refer to the “Children’s Privacy” section of this Privacy Policy for more information.

TSIC collects information about Registrants on behalf of the sports organization (“Customer”) in which a Registrant is participating. Examples of some of the information we collect from individuals and teams includes contact information (names, birthdates, gender, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, medical conditions, emergency contact information), sports-related information (team names, team rosters, player numbers, position, sports and academic performance statistics), and credit card information.

Children’s Privacy

The Registrant accounts are created and owned by adults over the age of 18, and any required information regarding children is entered by the adult account owner. Children between the ages of 13 and 18 agree to obtain the consent of their parent/guardian to access and use the site, and that the parent/guardian agrees to the terms of service. For Customers who have participants under the age of 13, the parents/guardians of the children are responsible for entering and managing their children’s information. No information should be submitted to or posted on the TSIC website by any minor (a User under 18 years of age) without the consent of a parent or guardian.

Credit Card Information

When a Registrant uses TSIC’s system to make payment via credit card, the payment information is entered on a secure web page, using SSL encryption and processed via a merchant account. Only the last 4 digits of the credit card number are stored. “TeamSportsInfo.com” will appear on the Registrant’s credit card statement.

A sports organization (Customer) has the option to utilize their own credit card processing system. When a Registrant is linked to the Customer’s system, the responsibility for the security of any transaction on this system is with the Customer, not with TSIC.

If you are a Customer, you may use TSIC to collect funds from Registrants due to your organization. We will deduct a payment processing fee from these fund transfers, and we will include this as a separate line item in our invoice statements to you.

Digital Content

For digital content (including but not limited to photos, videos, and audio files) chosen by TSIC to appear anywhere on its website, TSIC obtains permission from subjects appearing within such content, from either the subjects themselves if over 18 years old, or from the parents/guardians of those under 18 years of age.

For digital content chosen by any TSIC "Customer" (including but not limited to sports organization administrators), it is the "Customer" who is responsible for obtaining permission for use of any digital content they request to be posted on the TSIC website. This permission is to be obtained from the subjects themselves if over 18 years old, or from the parents/guardians of those under 18 years of age. The "Customer" agrees to this responsibility and does not hold TSIC liable for any action resulting from not obtaining such permission.

Information Storage and Retention

Personal information is stored in Microsoft's SQL Server Database, which supports industry standard security, and is hosted by TSIC’s web servers.

TSIC uses SSL to secure transmission of data between our servers and your browser. Secure Sockets Layer, or SSL, is an encryption technology that provides secure communications over the Internet. It does this by verifying that the server to which you are connected is actually the one it claims to be. It also encrypts all transactions between the parties communicating.

No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your personal information or other information. If you have any questions or concerns about security, contact us at support@teamsportsinfo.com.

We retain information as long as it is needed to provide services to you and the sports organization you are affiliated with, and as it is relevant for our operations. We may retain personal information from closed accounts to comply with the law, prevent fraud, collect any fees owed, resolve disputes or troubleshoot problems.

If you wish to cancel your account or request that we no longer use your information to provide you services, contact us at support@teamsportsinfo.com.

Cookies

To enhance your experience with our sites, many of our web pages use "cookies." Cookies are text files we place in your computer's browser to store your preferences. These Cookies do not tell us your e-mail address or other personally identifiable information unless you choose to provide this information to us by, for example, registering with us.

We use Cookies to understand site usage and to improve the content and offerings on our sites. For example, we may use Cookies to personalize your experience at our web pages (e.g. to recognize you by name when you return to our site) or save your password in password-protected areas.

If you reject cookies, you may still use our site, but your ability to use some features of our site may be limited.

Analytics / Log Files

As occurs with most web sites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data. This automatically-collected data is not linked to other information we collect about you.

Testimonials

We post Customer testimonials on our website, which may contain personal information such as the Customer's name. We do obtain the Customer's consent before posting their name along with their testimonial. If you wish to update or delete your testimonial, you can contact us at support@teamsportsinfo.com.

Display and Use of Information

Access to Information

When individuals, families and teams (“Registrant” or “Registrants”) register with TSIC, they are asked to provide their role within their sports organization (e.g. league or club commissioner, coach, parent or player) and are asked to select a username and password. The ability to access player or team information on the Service is limited to those individuals with a username and password. The level of information displayed to a User is determined by their role within the sports organization. The coach and parents/players will be able to view their team roster with corresponding player contact information. They will also be able to access the rosters and schedules of other teams, however the contact information of other teams will NOT be displayed. It is critical that parents and players do not release their username and password information to any other individuals in order to protect the privacy of fellow team members.

TSIC produces a variety of reports and notifications for the Customer about Registrants. A Customer has access to all the registration information of their organization’s players and has the tools to create team rosters from the player database. League administrators and/or tournament directors also have access to player’s registration information, and may share this information with college recruiters. No other individuals except a limited number of TSIC employees who are responsible for database operations have access to specific registration information provided by parents/players.

If you are a registered User, you may review, update, correct or delete your personal information by logging onto the TeamSportsInfo.com website. If you are unclear about how to do this or have concerns, contact us at support@teamsportsinfo.com.

Contact Lists

Customers communicate with Registrants via email and text messages. Registrants can expect to receive periodic e-mails and text messages from the Customer regarding sports-specific announcements.

E-mail and phone information collected is not shared by TSIC with any other party other than the Customer representing your sports organization. Registrants are advised to check with their organization regarding the use and privacy of personal information collected on behalf of the Customer.

TSIC staff or your organization’s administrator may communicate directly with you about your personal information or financial transactions by email or phone calls. If you have questions or concerns, please contact us at support@teamsportsinfo.com.

Sharing Information

If You Link to a Customer’s Site and/or Other Third Party Sites

This Privacy Policy Statement applies only to the TSIC Service (TeamSportsInfo.com). The TSIC website includes links to other websites whose privacy practices may differ from those of TSIC. If you submit personal information to any of those sites, your information or transactions are governed by their privacy policies. This includes your sports organization's (our Customer's ) website. Any decisions a Customer makes regarding sharing your personal information (e.g. with college recruiting staff) are their responsibility, and TSIC is not to be held accountable for this action. We encourage you to carefully read the privacy policy of any website you visit.

If TSIC Organization Changes

If TSIC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, you will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our website of any change in ownership. In addition, TSIC may transfer, or otherwise provide access to, your personal information to such acquirer or buyer involved in the merger, acquisition or sale.

If Legal Action Occurs

We reserve the right to disclose your personal information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our website.

Changes to this Policy

If we decide to change this privacy policy, we will post the changes on this site with the date of the changes. We encourage you to periodically check back and review this policy so that you will know what information we collect, how we use it, and to whom we disclose it.
